Terminator Terminator that way people will get your gender confused if they don't recognize you user name.

I get a kick outta people who do that without looking into the user's profile.

They did that with me when I had that Roxy Music album cover as my avatar (my last avatar of the chick). Did you know that that was a Roxy Music album cover Missconstrue? Do you know Roxy Music?

I like your current one. I say stick with it or find something more memorable than the other options - those are both in the vein of popular avatars here. I like it when people have distinctive avatars because it helps me to recognize them and get to know them through their posts.

Terminator terminator it is then. As soon as I saw the original image I thought Wow! It just looked good somehow. Sexy and dangerous. Not that I'm either of those.

Me too but I get apprehensive when doing it on this site. I guess I want to get recognized. Thought about putting a real photo but you know how people can be.

Well, it's in sharp contrast to your first avatar. Was that part of the idea?

I guess I'm more comfortable and relaxed on the site now. It threw me a lot when first visiting here because I'm not used to any sort of social networking site other than dry usenet forums to discuss technical stuff. I just assumed that the gender of everyone's avatar matched their real gender and felt a little embarrassed to find I'd been making some sexual innuendos to a man

Any males making such comments to me because of my new female avatar will get their faces slapped

I like your avatar EvilKimEvil, images containing people or animes of people are easier to relate to. I don't like all the abstract arty images that people use - it's too easy to mix people up.

I'd never use my real photo here, there could be people visit the site who would recognise me and I'd be deeply embarrassed about some of the personal stuff I've posted. A degree of anonymity is best, you can be who you are then. Besides I can feel free to make innuendos to some of the women who visit here :D

^You definitely convinced me not to use a pic in my avatar now that I think about it.

Anyway....what do you mean by artsy?

How does mine look? :?

I like your avatar, it is immediately recognisable as you. I like most of the anime avatars of people / animals as they are easy to remember. The "artsy" ones I don't like tend to be swirls of colour or just too abstract to associate with one person. Don't be offended but I do find your avatar a bit stern looking - I still like it though. You look like a trustworthy sort of person. The weird thing about avatars is they tend to influence how I reply to postings. I wonder if anyone else does that? Almost worth a new thread to ask. Some avatars look more friendly and welcoming than others. I wonder what things people read into others avatars?

I've given up trying to get my head around pat666rick's avatars.

I liked the Charlie Brown one, why the change?
The new one is sort of an S&M theme, which is great for some but I don't know if it suits you, or does it.

I'd not made the association. I'm quite broad minded but not into S&M at all. Besides it seems a bit extreme even for that having your arms and legs chopped off and your torso hung on wires 8O
