I'm trying to figure out how WP members' music taste, in terms of bands I like, compares to mine.

I tend to detest Canadian music, but I guess I'll listen.

"Ordinary Day": I couldn't bear to listen for more than 30 seconds. [0/10]
"Safe Upon the Shore": Hate live videos when the video and audio suck. But I could tolerate this one more than the first one. [4/10]
"Boston and St. John's": Mediocre. Still better than the first one. [3/10]
"King of Spain": I don't mind this one. [5/10]
"That's Any Good": [5/10]

So, I guess I like the second band better than the first. But I can't vote in the poll.

Why don't you like Canadian music? Also, how did you know they were Canadian? Did you look them up?

I liked the second one best, as it sounded like it might be a folk song.

The others weren't really my sort of thing. Although it often takes quite a few listens to a song for me to feel it or understand it.

I use fingers out of full fists in my ratings system-Fists=6

ok from lowest to highest

Safe upon the shore-1 finger out of a full fist

Boston And St. Johns-2 fingers out of a full fist

ok coming in with 3 fingers are That's any good and Ordinary Day

With a whopping 4 fingers it's King Of Spain

I haven't really found anything I like from Canada, aside from Tokyo Police Club.

I can just tell; their accents. I looked it up to confirm, but one of the videos mentioned "Toronto."

First one - didn't like it, and those gurning faces in the video (where they're trying to look like hunky rugby players) are hideous.
Safe upon the Shore - song is okay, didn't like the lead singer, harmony okay. Ah like me harmony. :)
Third one - didn't like it, even though it reminded me of TTWS, who I do like. Starting to dislike this band.
Fourth - WT proverbial F? followed by "er, okay if you like that sort of thing"; musically the tightest of them.
Fifth - "Er, okay, guess you had to be there."

I think I'll stick with my crush on Emily Haines. :)

You can hear the accents on ordinary day, and it isn't catchy enough for me, plus I can't hear all of the words (semi-mumbly).

I dislike live music on video....keep it live if it is live.

That's any good is a little bit catchy, I like that the best. Who is martin sheen? Charlie Sheen's brother?

Martin Sheen is the father of the head coach in the mighty ducks and Charlie Sheen.

I don't like the first one at all. It's totally a cheesy motivational film theme.
I like the 2nd one, but I really can't stand the sound of that guy's voice singing it. I'd like it if someone else was singing it. Or maybe, since someone else mentioned the quality, that's what's ruining it for me. I couldn't even listen to the 3rd one due to all the background noise. It just all blends into the song.
The 4th one is pretty good. I voted that one my favorite.
And the last one is okay.

Zen, the lyrics to the second one, were actually written by one of the other band members, the one to the far left, so maybe that's why, but I think he sounds pretty good.

MOD: Can you please add a "didn't like any of them" option?
