My psych doc just prescribed it for me for my social anxiety.
See, even when I'm waiting in a crowded doctor's office, I feel the need to get out of there. When my wife runs into an old friend at the store and yaks it up a bit, I just wander off to avoid being introduced or if there are more than three people as guests in the apartment, I have to go to another room.
I described those things to my doc and he prescribed the Buspar.
I just wanted to know what should I expect in terms of side-effects good and bad.
I did experience something strange today after only after a day of taking it. I felt that I could see images more clearly when daydreaming with my eyes closed. I was lying down to take a nap and I don't know if you're like me but my mind races a bit before I go to sleep thinking about stuff. The things that I was thinking about and the images were pretty clear.

I took it for a brief time a few years ago. It nipped the anxiety nicely, but I had to take it at bedtime. Once I took it with breakfast and had to guzzle coffee to stay awake at work. Only happened once!

I was on it in 1990, I had a bad reaction to it, when I took an antihistamine, caused a bad convulsion which caused me to fall and break my shoulder. If your on Buspar, don't mix it with anything, cold, allergy medication, or alcohol.
I took it for a few years. I didn't experience any side effects but it helped me but they aren't highly effective because my body didn't get addicted to them where I had to take them or I get sick without.
