Can you wake up at your order? What I mean is giving an order to yourself while lying in bed to wake up at some particular hour and the next morning you do it indeed. I haven't done it for months because I didn't need it.

Few years ago, I remember, I programmed myself to wake up at 9 o'clock. I was just having a dream in which I was a Titanic survivor drifting in a lifeboat or something like that together with other castaways when my mother suddenly arrived and started to yell at me and then I woke up. I took a look at my watch and it was 9 o'clock indeed :D

I can do that to within 15 minutes accuracy. I did it on Friday and beat my alarm clock by 2 minutes.

I usually wake up at least once in the hour before my alarm normally goes whether I set the alarm or not. It's definitely not by choice though. My body gets trained to wake up at a certain time (usually 10-20 minutes before the time I normally set my alarm for) but then it can be really hard to stay awake if I haven't had enough sleep. I'll often wake up briefly at around 7:30 AM even on Saturday and then just go back to sleep or doze until 10:00 or 11:00 ish.

Usually around 6:00 am or later sometimes for me.

I do that before I go to sleep I tell myself the hour I need to wake up and thats when I more or less wake up give or take 15 - 20 minutes. A friend of mine was talking about alarm clocks and I told her I never use one. They startle me and I end up not so happy in the morning being woken up by noise.

Many times I turn my alarm off 1 minute before it goes off.
I have a very precise internal clock. It amazes my friends
that I can guess the time plus/minus 5 min. almost every
time. Two of my friends get really annoyed when I ask them what
time it is.

I still set my alarm every night...just in case.
But for a long time (7 months or so) I never even had a
clock in my room. I don't use watches either.

If I need to wake up earlier I do, it is like my body know when I should get up.

I wish I could wake up on my own at a consistent time before about 10-11AM. It doesn't matter what time I go to bed, if I want up before then, I need an alarm, regardless how irritated/asleep I am after killing it. Frequently, the snooze button gets wore out on my alarm clock.

No. But I do tend to always wake up at 2:30 am [when I sleep at night] and 4:30 am

I absolutely can...I call it my "internal alarm clock". I am virtually never awakened by my alarm because I wake up one or two minutes before it's supposed to go off and turn it off. The only time my internal clock doesn't work is when I have to wake up at a really strange hour, like 3 AM or something. But any time after 5:00 AM, it's very accurate.

I usually get up at noon or 1:00 in the afternoon. Whenever I have the alarm set though, I always wake up mere seconds before it goes off.

I need to start going to bed earlier and getting up in the morning. I'm tired of sleeping until noon. It's good when you're a kid, but I'm not a kid anymore. I need to get my life in order, the best I can with AS anyway. :?

No. I always need an alarm, and it takes a few snoozes before I'm finally able to drag myself out of bed. On days I don't have to get up for work I can easily sleep past noon.

I am exactly the same way. My body gets used to a routine of sleep and whether I like it or not, that is when I will wake up until I can shift my body to a different time.

Well what happens with me is I start waking up around 7:00 am no matter what. However in the early morning I'm often in this drowsy in-and-out-of-dreams state where it's really hard to actually get out of bed even though I'll keep waking up. It's like I'm stuck half way between being asleep and being awake. On weekdays I try to make myself get out of bed the first time I wake up but it can be hard when I didn’t get to sleep until late.

I'm also known to accidentally turn my alarm off in half-awake zombie state and not ever remember doing it. It's like I'm partially in a dream thinking I'm just about to get up but then I don't. I was late for an exam once because of this.
