My French teacher passed from this vale of tears a couple of days ago. I bought a card to send to her husband, but living in the extreme west of Canada, there are not a lot of French cards available, so I was going to write a few words of sympathy in French to buff out the lovely English sentiment. However, the problem is - I only completed the initial course; the second course was cancelled, and what I remember is a little shaky because the first course ended in November 07.
What I would like to say is "Jean, my prayers are with you. Fern was a good soul and will be missed" - or something like that.
I was going to babelfish it, but I don't fully trust it (because you have to phrase the sentence right or it does a straight translation, right or wrong).
If you can be of assistance, that would be wonderful!
Thanks...
