The SS guy said he needed a statement about my 401 K - they just started taking money out for a 401K in February so I had to get a statement about this years earning.

The school district told me they couldn't give me the statement because the state has sole control over the 401k, the state told me they couldn't give me the statement because the school district does everything. Both said they couldn't possibly get the records I needed - the school district said they would never access to them, the state said not until November when the school would allegedly send the records to them. I suspected it was the state who was lying because the woman I spoke to there was a real jerk who seemed offended that I dared call her.

But rather than hash it out with her, I sent my SS worker the phone numbers of both the state and school and told him what they said. Funny how he was able to get my records from the state on the day he called her.

Thank goodness I ended up with a wonderful SS man. He was always cheerful and laughing when I was talking to him - made me wonder what was so great about his job. Though from what he's told me he's gone now as I've been processed and *****igned a social worker. This man seems to think that I'll get medicaid, which I certainly hope so considering I have $10,000+ in unpaid medical bills and know that I'll be getting another eeg soon.

That kind of thing happened to us, too. SS wanted to know if my husband's gift trust account was accessible in any way.
