I love castles and old things.

What is your favourite castle?

Please post a link to some pics.

My favourite is the Château de Puilaurens in France.

I visited it 2 years ago and it's on the peak of a small mountain in the Pyrenees.

I don't know if Jerusalem is considered a castle or not, but here is a qualitative drawing from the 1450's:

This one belonged to Elizabeth Báthory, the Hungarian Blood Countess
a little worn down now, but still. She is possibly the most prolific serial killer in history.

Boldt castle...mainly because it's on an island.

Sad though, he started it for his wife, it was left un-finished in the construction for 73 years after his wife passed away suddenly.

If you do, be sure to bring something waterproof to wear! You will get wet! There are water jets everywhere! I didn't understand why I saw tons of people in the parking lot wearing plastic ponchos. LOL I learned the hard way & got squirted! But after a time, I was able to spot the hidden (sometimes not so hidden) water spouts. It was a very cool castle in more ways than one!
