ears for eyes

There is this device that convers a camerimage into a 64 by 64 b/w pic that is then converted to a stream, of sounds. After awhile people say they see a b/w image. Would you be willing to give up your ears for vision?

Eyes do only what is in front of them, while ears do around, yet ears could not see out of a sound proof area could they.

I dunno. I never listen anyway, so the eyes are more important to me as a matter of course
