Why do we have toenails? they really have no function. Sometimes they ingrow hurt or turn black and yucky, and when you get old you can't bend over to cut them. And just how did Cro-magom cut his nails? Just an evolutionary left-over?

good guestion i believe its left over like tail bone btw if we would like to we could chance 60% of our body to metal

Its a leftover i think, not much use
for them now. But running barefoot
/climb out in the wild nails is a must
to get better grip sometimes and it
protecs the end of the toe a little,
can handle more wear. Cavemen
wore them down mostly i guess,
no need for clippers there
