A year ago (March 2008) someone said something to me which hurt me deeply. I have Aspergers Syndrome and for half a year ago I didn't give what that person said to me much thought and I was obsessing over other things. But fairly recently though (Febuary 2009) what the person said to me started affecting me badly again. It also become a problem when I am at college and I start breathing heavily and my chest feels tight. It's just very draining when I am at college and I start to feel tired and it affects my work as well.

Would medication help? Because I get feeling of angner and nervousness when the thoughts start to fester my mind!

I've been in similar situations. You need closure. What works for me is understanding. Try to understand what happened - what was the reason and the intention behind what the other person said. Confront him/her if you think it will help you, or ask someone who's insight and discretion you trust. My skin is very thin and betrayal or malice affect me deeply, but I find some peace once I have a rational explication for these things and it helps me prepare better in the future.

I agree that resolution is important; my personal opinion is that you are best off finding that within yourself, as others will not always have answers... sometimes pain is caused through pure inattention or lack of care. Find out why it affects you, and address those issues - the past is past, and one can only look back, stand still or move ahead.
