I keep having visions of the future.

Well, not visions in a religious sense. But I just keep imagining the future (twenty years from now or so) as being so bizarre. I imagine all sorts of crises across the world and natural disasters not quite to the scale of those in The Day After Tomorrow. On top of that, I imagine everyone just accepting the conditions as people do now. "Gas sure is expensive, but... eh." "The stock market sure does suck, but... eh." Just expecting things to get better.

I do it too. And then I get horribly depressed, because the people in that future are so placid about it.

Maybe the future will be like in Blade Runner! Wait, that wouldn't be too fun.

I do it too...many different scenarios. Sometimes the future is pretty scary in my head...sometimes it is grand.

Also, in the future, it's a hundred degrees Fahrenheit on a mild day. And everyone just says, "Eh. We'll adapt."

people always assume these problems are something our great-great-great grandchildren will have to worry about.

so we just put them off for them to worry about because humans are lazy..

Unfortenently, no one seems to care. I guess that's just another giant flaw in our society. :?

Or we're just like "Hey, that's not for another 150 years, who cares! We're worry about it 149 years from now!"

Well, we humans are the cause of our own problems.

I hate my species.
