I still haven't gotten around to it and I joined WP at least a few years ago (although I haven't been visiting it regularly all that time).

About a year. :lol:

I'm still reluctant to put one of my more favourite artsy photos up as my profile pic because I don't want my face to be too visible (a bit of caution never hurt anyone).

I don't know, 5 minutes maybe. I wanted a Phantom of the Opera pic so I googled it and used the first pic that came up (really the only one I liked). It wasn't until September when I uploaded a face pic.

I went a few months without an avatar.
In fact when I joined, I didn't even know what an avatar was :lol:
I just came across the word, and decided to get one.

I never go without an avatar; although I change it fairly often depending on which fictional character(s) I'm obsessing over at the moment.

Few minutes; had to find the aspect ratio, get it to size, etc. I actually made the pic in Bryce, with some modeling in Wings 3d, and a character from Poser...
