He is just talking about his hair. I have long dark hair. People think its black and some people think its dyed and its not. In the sun it naturally has alot of auburn.
I wanna post a pic of myself except i dont if Ive got any or to find any. My place is so disorganised but my friends would have some.
I think i look similar to amy lee or the girl off evanescence.

I know that though my hair looks like a dark brown most of the time when sunlight goes through parts it turns ginger, kind of could give the apearence that I may have died my hair as beard being mostly ginger and top being mostly unchanged.

My hair is the same way.

All of my mom's siblings are red-heads.
She is the only one who isn't but she has the blue eyes and freckles.

I have a few freckles and very dark brown hair with red highlights that can only be seen in certain light.

I used to call myself part-redhead..

Hair colour is often described by reference to two qualities, depth and reflect.
'Red' is a reflect, the less 'depth' to the hair colour, the more obvious red reflect is. People can have a lot of red in their hair without it being easy to detect if they also have a lot of depth to their hair colour. Red reflect is more obvious if people have light (or high) coloured hair.

So brunettes can have just as much red reflect as a 'ginger coloured coloured' or 'red' hair but with more depth (so the red is not as visible). Think of it as adding red to pale yellow paint as compared to adding red paint to brown paint. The yellow paint will go orange, but the brown paint will still be brown (albeit a redder shade of brown).

Interesting, red is the most difficult natural pigment to remove from hair (hence the reason why poorly executed hair lightening can leave people with very brassy/ginger hued hair), while synthetic red pigment fades much quicker than other synthetic pigments.
