I care a little, people who tells fibs
when selling cars have something
to hide for sure

And its probably
going to be on the expense of the
buyer
Assuming the fib was at the new owners' expense. And to know that one would have to ask which may force the seller into more lies.
It's just as easy to assume the seller was making a statement for the benefit of someone unknown to the buyer and thererfore completely unrelated to the situation.
In fact, it's easy to assume almost anything based on one, little sentence. Perhaps the upholsterer had a family emergency of a very personal nature and couldn't finish the job? Perhaps the seller dropped the ball and failed to deliver the car intime for it's repairs? Would it really be necessary to call someone out on this?
Again, as long as you get what you want, why make an issue out of it when you don't know the full story anyway?
