I am allowed to do things my siblings are not, because of my Autism. I am allowed to not go to school if I am having a bad day. I am also allowed to walk around during class and touch the curtains or carpet. It feels so good. I can sit on the carpet too. I am also allowed to lie on the carpet.Sometimes, I am allowed to wear sunglasses inside. My sister is annoyed that I can get away with having meltdowns. I cant always help them.

My brother felt the same way.

He sort of thought I was "faking it."

He bears a grudge to this day.

In reality, it's not a fortunate thing to be autistic, though it's not something to be ashamed of, either.

Just ask them if they would like to trade places.

Yeah, except my sister would say yes. She would want to prove that I am exaggerating stuff. She thinks I could be a straight A student if I just worked a bit harder. I work as hard as I can. Sometimes my emotions and feelings happen. It interferes with my school life, in different ways than she understands.

Who knows? Maybe you could get all "A's"

Is this your older sister, or your younger sister?

How does she treat you?

I would not be surprised at all if the OP's siblings also believe that only people with visible disabilities -- i.e., people on crutches, people in wheelchairs, et cetera -- deserve any special privileges.

My parents thought I was spoiled because I was very dependent due to my Aspergers & other mental & physical disabilities. They also thought I was spoiled because my grades were pretty bad due to learning disabilities & my parents felt like I should of been trying more at home like studding but I NEVER learned that way & I was so overwhelmed from skewl that I needed time off at home to wind down & relax. Trying to force me to do skewl stuff when I wasn't ready caused LOTS of meltdowns. They also felt I was spoiled as an adult because I was still living with them till I was 30 due to my disabilities & low income. They also felt I should of been working instead of on government benefits like SSI & latter SSDI even thou I was doing my very best to find a job. All voc rehab ever did for me was have meetings & tell me to keep asserting myself which I already was doing & applying at all the places I thought I might could do a job at & I was calling to check on my apps & getting told that they don't have time to look over specific people's & they don't get through all the apps before they hire people. What the hell else was I supposed to do :?:

Your younger sister probably doesn't understand autism too well. And she should treat you better.

But she does want you to do better. If somebody tells you that, unless they are insulting you at the same time, it means she has confidence in you.

I understand that you have problems in math, so it's sort of difficult in math. But not so much in other subjects.

To me, it's always good if a person tries just a little bit harder every time they embark on something.
