"The last time I did ... was last year"

Dont you just love that at the beginning of a new year you can say that the last time you done something, watched something etc. was last year?

I used to... until I had a job that required me to ring in the new year at work. It got depressing saying "I haven't had a day off since last year." Especially working for the USPS as a "sub" when I only had two days off between Thanksgiving and New Year's (One of which was Christmas Day).

Now I make it a point not to shop or eat out on a holiday because I feel nobody should be forced to work on a holiday.
