Hey, just wondering whether people prefer spectacles or contacts or laser eye surgery. I have glasses, am long sighted in one eye and short sighted in another, so I only have glasses to correct short sightedness, but I'm going to get glasses for close up too. My optometrist said I should consider laser eye surgery, or contacts, however I prefer spectacles.

I am near-sighted in both eyes(about20/200) and have been wearing contacts for 18 years. I would like to get laser surgery someday, but can't afford it now. A couple of my friends have had laser surgery and now see 20/20 or better, without any problems at all. One of them had his surgery done 10 years ago, and is still happy with the results.
