I finisihed seniour school (I am english and thats our term for high school) in late May 2006 when I was 16. I am now 19 and it feels like a long time since I left school. Has it actually been a long time?

It depends on the definition of 'a long time'.

Relative to your life it could be about 5% - a moderate length of time, but in relation to the the age of the earth (by Biblical calculation or otherwise) it is a very short amount of time.
