I love reptiles. The other day, I got my first reptilian pet, a California kingsnake. I think one could argue that reptiles are good pets for people with AS because they don't demand attention, but you have to be kind of obsessive to take care of them (constantly checking temperature and humidity levels). I love the way their scales feel too. Their colors and patterns are quite striking.

Reptiles have their place in this world.

I have an iguana, hes about 10 years old now, his name is Ed cause that was the first name I thought of when I got him. Now I wish I woulda named him Sabek, but I didn't know much about Egyptian gods when I was 9.
Anyway, reptiles kick ass, cats suck.

Iguanas are real supervillain-pet fodder.

I want to get an iguana and a swivel chair, so that when people knock on my door I can spin round stroking him, and say "So, we meet at last. I have been expecting you..."

:P

I love reptiles, mainly iguanas and crocodiles :D

I had an iguana, but she escaped on August 31, 2006

Now, I have turtles.

My brother used to have lizards and such. Thankfully my mom would never, ever let him keep a snake (she and I are both scared of snakes).

[whisper]Pssssssssssst! Frogs are amphibians, not reptiles.[/whisper]

It's still OK to love them though.

My Iguana died in 1998. Some friends of mine at UVa. were in a band called Slackjaw. They had an Iguana that they put on the cover of their album "All Fallen Heroes". Check 'em out on iTunes. He escaped in the Fall/Winter and we spent days trying to find him.

That's so sad! :(

Any pics of Nubula?

I caught this little guy behind my cabin several weeks ago.

Snakes have a fascinating anatomical form factor (no limbs).

Good fortune,

Yes, I was obsessed with all kind of "creepy critters" when I was little, especially insects as well.

That's a nice garter snake! I have pics of Nebula, but I haven't had any success with uploading my pics to wp. I'll post pics of her once I get it figured out. She's a beautiful type of albino: "ruby-eyed lavender".
