What's a good thing to get for a funeral?

I was thinking sending flowers from 1800flowers.com but $40+tax IMO is EXPENSIVE! It's for out of state! Just OMG! EXPENSIVE!! !! Any cheaper alternatives? I can't think of anything you'd get for a funeral BTW I'm not going I was wanting to send flowers but OMG! that price!! ! SHEESH!

That's actually not expensive at all. I'd call it a deal. :) Sorry for your loss though.

Thank You that's sweet of you. I'm going to try some local owned flower shops in that state we don't even know the name of the Funeral Home yet. :-) Thanks again. :-)

it probably depends on the closeness you were to that person. Super markets tend to have flowers. probably a bit cheaper than flower shops.

I bought a sympathy card and my mom etc. are going to get flowers when they get to TN. :-)
