Yeah, those stories of some old blues folk are truly great. I'm going to look up for some myself. Maybe later I'll post some. I don't know.... about Robert Johnson maybe. He self recorded a little over twenty songs (1936/37) but his name is well known. Even here across the big pond. No surprise to you.

Yeah, Robert Johnson is a fascinating figure, although he's definately been romanticised, but I think every blues musician of that time will have been to some extent.

The bluesman Bukka White, who was roughly a contempory of Johnson, was actually called Booker. His recordings came to be credited to "Bukka" because an employee at his record label misspelt his name. This obviously caused White annoyance, but particularly because he was named after the black educator Booker T. Washington.

For those who like the blues, this is a 8) site, imo. And a random fact is, that an opinion isn't a fact. Sounds ~duh~ but look around.

An average caterpillar has 2,000 muscles, and some actually have more than 4,000. An average person has 696 muscles.

Where I live the state owns the atmospheric water. Residents cannot collect large amounts of rain water since it is likely to affect recharge rates ... I suppose that a resident would need to apply for a rain water right... but I am not sure how that would work. I will be looking into this more - I just learned it the other day and thought it was fascinating.

if you jumped off into the blackness of the universe and fell at the same acceleration that you fall to earth (1g) with no resistance, then it would take 356 days of falling to reach light speed.

Since the water on earth is in a closed circuit, nothing
gets added or taken away, theres a huge chance that
the water you drink has passed thorugh several humans
and animals many, many times before you drank it

8O nice to think about isn`t it
the water just gets recycled again and
again and again and again and....

So the next time you get a glass of water, its possible
that your grandfather drank that same water a long
time ago

:lmao: i love this planet sometimes

Break on through (to the other side) by the Doors
is well known. Something not everybody knows is
that when he sings "she gets...she gets..she gets..
yeahhhh" in the middle there, the lyrics was supposed
to go "she gets high...she gets high.." but the record
company said no way, you cant sing she gets high! :)
And being really really lazy the Doors thought screw
it, lets just drop that word then. :)

Would you believe the giraffe has the longest tail of any land mammal? They can be 8 feet (2.4 meters) long, including the tuft on the end!

A giraffe's tongue is 18 to 20 inches (46 to 50 centimeters) long and blue-black.

The placement of a donkey's eyes in its' heads enables it to see all four feet at all times!

Months that begin on a Sunday will always have a "Friday the 13th."

Coca-Cola would be green if colouring weren’t added to it.

Earth is the only planet not named after a god.
