I don't about many pranks being today, I know that youtube has been making videos apear upside down, but it is easily fixed by just removing the part in the address that says flip.

I confused someone on another board by using lexicographical terms as if they were medical terms.

Sorry, but I dread the day, probably because I am easily "got". I don't like to play tricks on others either, I don't like to make others feel stupid. After events from yesterday, I am hoping the coworkers have the good sense not to try anything today on me, but I have learned over the years, one can't count on another's good sense.

I do note the radio station I am listening to is trying to convince people a new phone in tax system is in place (as you answer questions, supposedly the automated voice tallies your tax bill - questions are asked "have you put recyclables into the garbage in the last 60 days, if so how many" and "have you flushed the toilet when you didn't have to", and others along those lines). At the end of the phone call it gives you an itemized bill, tells you you need to call back in 60 days for a new tax assessment, and ends the conversation with " City of ....., if you make it, we take it"

Obviously a joke, but we will see how many fall for it, I suppose.

Several years ago a bunch of cartoonists decided to pull a prank in which they took on another artist's work - scott adams took over "family circus" I believe. That was funny and harmless.

I like to put a rubber band on the sprayer on the sink or vaseline on the flusher of the toilet.

Keep it down some people don't know it's April Fool's Day.

Once they know, the pranks are obvious... :|

yeah then we are two on that. Its such a day I just want to hide away....I have my difficulties with jokes as I rarely understand them and takes words literally. Its almost impossible to make a succesful joke with me... And I dont joke with others either as Im so uncertain of what can be a good joke or not.

A few years ago I was in contact with an aspiegirl. She had never visited me and knew I have great difficulties with allowing anyone to attend my home, especially also if unplanned. On april fools day she sent an sms saying "Im comming over to you right away". I went extremely offended by this tasteless joke as she made fool of a serious matter to me.

A couple of years ago I was a part of a forum when a meeting was comming up. Everyone knew that Im not the joking kind of person so my joke with crying out I wasnt able to attend really hit the whole forum. Everyone believed in it and felt pity for me. That was hilarious to me. That was my best (and the only) april joke I ever tried myself

Bleh I personally can't stand this day. Imo most of the jokes are no better than silly lies and I don't care much for lies.

Besides, people's behavior is often unpredictible on this day and I don't like that either.

I've actually gone through the day without having heard of ANY sort of prank whatsoever. It must be the first April Fools day ever. :P

I was first introduced to it when I was eight but I didn't understand April Fools was only one day a year so I kept teasing other kids and saying "April Fools." Like I would tell someone they had a fly on them and when they fall for it I say "April Fools."

Then my mother had to tell me it was only for one day a year every 1st day of April. So yeah I did go through April Fools day without any jokes. My parents didn't play any on me or my teachers because I was in a special school and when I was 6 and 7, I was in special ed full time. Regular ed kids didn't play any on me.

But the best prank ever was when I was 17, I was in school and the person in my class who was my teacher's assistant who plays the piano for her as we all practice our songs, she slammed the desk drawer in the office and she held her finger and our teacher asks her if she is okay and she is pretending she is hurt and my teacher asks "Is it broken?" and she nods her head. Then she goes "April Fools" and we all laugh. My teacher said she had a scare because she thought who was going to play the piano at our music festival when we sing.
Then she hands out the music for our warm ups when we read the notes and when we opened it, they were all rests. Kids were saying "There are no notes." "These are all rests." Then it was the teacher's turn to say "April Fools." But we did the warm up anyway by doing the rests and then she said "See that wasn't do bad."

I guess my bf unintentionally played one on me this morning. I get up and go on the internet and see he had removed all the toolbars at the top so I got upset because I hated the change. It just felt weird and I felt panic because I couldn't use spellcheck anymore so that meant more misspelled words in my posts. He said he turned it all off because it was slowing it down when it loads. So he had to show me how to turn them on and off. I only have the google tool bar on for spellcheck. I don't like to proofread to make sure I have all my words spelled correctly. Not having so many toolbars still feels weird but it does speed up the loading for each page.
