yeah, its fun. the place where I bowl doesn't let people over the age of 10 use bumpers, so I don't have them. But I'm in a bowling class in college.

I average about 120, the best I ever did was something like 178.

I love bowling but I only do it 3-4 times a year. Seems like all the places around here are so geared to the "cosmic bowling" thing now, which is a nightmare for me with all the flashing lights and horrendous music and stuff.

I like it, but I'm not very good. I was much better a few years ago, often scoring around 140-150. My last game was a 20. However, I was not feeling well that day, I was in a huge hurry, and the lane was extra slippery.

Well when I go it is usually with a group of kids ranging from 12-18 from the fire hall. The one kid is in a wheel chair so we dotn get much hassle about asking fro the bumpers or anything.

I bowled a lot when I was growing up. I was on leagues from the time I was in grade school until I was a young adult. I was obsessed with bowling alleys. I used to draw bowling alley plans as a child. I was very good at bowling, but lousy at baseball and basketball, etc. I hated contact sports. So bowling fit me perfectly. Bowling gave me confidence---as did music. I have been thinking about getting back into bowling.

One might ask why I quit bowling as a young adult (in the early 1990s). One reason was that on the adult leagues a lot of people smoked. And the smoke smell really bothered me. I have extreme sensory issues with light, sound, and touch. But I guess smell is also extreme too. I know that if I am in the presence of a smoker for just a second, I can smell the smoke in my skin and clothing long after they leave. I can also often smell cigarette smoke from a car in front of me if they have their windows down and I have my heater or air conditioner on in my car. So the bowling alley got to be horrible for me. I also got some arthritis in my right hand so my hand often got hurting after bowling.

Smoking cigs and bowling go hand in hand. You can't smoke in alleys here anymore, I'd probably bowl more often if you could. I'm sorry that it bothers you that you can't be around smoky bowling alleys, however my issue is quite the opposite haha
