I previously posted a topic very much the same as this one, but sadly nobody bothered replying to it so I'm reposting it again in hopes someone can reply and help me here. Anyways, here's the story of my problem:-

I'm currently in my final year in Secondary School (well actually I'm in a private school doing final year secondary education). I'm planning to go overseas next year in 2010, to the US to study filming. So now I'm looking for a 4-year college in LA, somewhere near Toluca Lake or North Hollywood, at a town area (strictly NOT in a city area) at most, which provides financial aid and scholarships and in-campus housing and is moderately affordable (in terms of US dollars). So, does anyone here have a college to recommend to me? Oh and I hope you know of such college in an area with little to no crime there (sorry but my Dad's scared I might fall victim to such an event after hearing about a friend of my Dad's friend (don't worry, my Dad's friend's friend is still alive but not in the US anymore)). :?: :? :help:   :wall:

I live near Pasadena which is fairly close to the area you mentioned. As far as finding a four year college you don’t need someone from here to do so since it’s all on the internet these days. Let me know if you need any specific information that is not on the internet.
As far as filming I know absolutely nothing especially since filming involves good face to face communication skills which I have zero of. As far as crime goes there are large high crime areas such as South Central L.A. or large low crime areas such as Beverly Hills but generally the United States and especially Southern California is a patchwork of good and bad neighborhoods that at times are no more than a few blocks wide. It is more up to you to do things that prevent you from becoming a victim of crime than what kind of neighborhood you live in. If you don’t act like a victim then you probably won’t become one. My guess is the friend of your Dad's friend is either very unlucky or did something stupid. If I had more information I could probably guess which.

Firstly, I know that I have to make the decisions myself but I'm only asking if anyone knows of an "Aspie-friendly" college here, that's all, kinda like a friend's recommendation, only to the enlistee instead of the enlister. And as for my Dad's friend's friend, the dude was working at one of the most likeliest place where a robbery can take place: 7 Eleven. So yeah, the dude was unlucky AND did something stupid. Oh yeah, and I'm kinda looking for specific info not on the internet.

The only four year college I have experience in here is Cal State LA which I attended for a short time. It wasn’t friendly or unfriendly. It was about the same as another four year college which I also attended for a short time in another state. From what I heard but not personally experienced there are some friendly four year colleges in the state of Washington and that friendly colleges are usually colleges located far away from big cities, but that’s just hearsay.

Y'know what's funny? the fact that I initially wanted to go to Cal State LA.

Thanks but I didn't quite find what I was looking for.

Anyways, I've decided that a Asperger-friendly school doesn't really matter, just as long as the school's a friendly one and in a safe enviroment. I'm now considering going to the University of La Verne (ULV) but I'm not sure if the school has filming in it or that if it's Aspie-friendly. So is ULV a good choice? BTW, I'm still open to other options so post any suggestions if you like.

P.S.: I typed in "toluca lake asperger college" on Google and guess what? My topic came up!

You don't have to be so rude, I'm just asking.
