Havd you got any hobbies/interests? What are they? I love practising yoga, as its a very calming thing and good for helping deal with anxiety. I love art, though i dont do enough of it lol. Would love to do a course soon to get more skills, ie painting and pastels etc. I find its a good thing to do if you're stressed, theraputic. And i like coming on wp alot, cos i want to get to know you all :-D

Watching anime, drawing, writing bits of my autobiography, making beaded jewelry, doing origami, swimming and running. I do most of these things while listening to music.

Get rid off?? What hobbies can be so dreadful that you dont want it around you? Does it harm you or you feel bad around them or they make your life miserable?

Procrastinating, posting on Wrong Planet, lurking on a couple other forums, procrastinating, reading, procrastinating and procrastinating.

I also like to slip into my own private universe once in a while. :D

Post #777! That's not satanic, that's a token of luck.

Xalepax, look, I'm getting rid of 20 boxes of radio control airplanes. Throwing away much of it. I'm done with hobbies. I want to spend my time on meaningful and constructive activities, spend my time with people, not obsessing over some r/c project for weeks or months at a time. It's tiring and it's a bad use of my time. I can make a hobby out of anything, really, I have so many interests. Anyway, look, that's a brand new $20 airplane wing that I collapsed and tossed in the garbage bag. Bye-bye hobbies.

I've thought about quitting the hobby completely for over a yer now. I've cut down. Put all my stuff in the basement. I think I'm ready to get rid of it now. Basically, my hobby interferes with my life. My priorities are not entertainment anymore.

Learning2Survive:
I truly get your whole point. I had such a situation myself last year when I simply got enough of my hobby and wanted to get rid of it to any price...I also felt it interefered too much in my life when the thrill was gone since long time ago. Your airplanes had their phase in your life and thats it. I also put away all of my hobbystuff far away from me. Some of it I gave to someone else who went very happy and thriled of receiving parts of my rare collection.
Its great you want to spend your time with people instead but that doesnt prevent you from finding a new meaningful hobby by time to keep on decent level. I did

I currently enjoy firearms and audio equipment. I'm not really feeding my hobbies at this time, as money is tight (I'm at college and living on my own for the first time). But I enjoy what I have.

I love spinning an album, be it a record or a CD, on my hi-fi setup. That's something I truly love to get lost in. I have more money invested into that system -- which is made of mostly vintage components -- than it is worth on paper, but what matters is that it's well worth it to me. I spent a few years randomly collecting old gear, fixing it, modifying it, going back and changing things, etc. I finally have something to show for it, something that I can use every day to give me pleasure. Long live vintage audio!
