This thing is so cool looking! What is it, some kind of stone? What's it called?

Outlier, those Welsh hills look so dreamy, I want to be there right now. ;3;

And Paddy, I guess you're a pro, huh? I love the little spiders. XD XD

I'm lazy so I'll just post one. I snuck up on him reeeaal slow, and he stood still until I was like 3 inches away. XD

Through truss bridge on the Hillsborough branch of the Boston and Maine Railroad in Wilton NH. I took it out of the back of a train on the short-lived Wilton Scenic Railroad.

Image
Conway Scenic Railroad 0-4-0 #7470 on the turntable at North Conway NH

Image
Railbus, built from a modified road bus. It still has the steering wheel which isn't hooked up to anything. I took this picture right after riding it at the Glory Days of the Railroad festival in White River Junction VT. This bus is owned by Clark's Trading Post in Lincoln NH where it usually sits on display, but is sometimes used for rides on days when there's not enough people there to justify the cost of running their steam train.

Image
Former Maine Central Railroad high-nose GP40 #372 in Ayer Massachusetts leading a westbound train on the Guilford Rail System (before they changed their name to Pan Am Railways). This is at the MBTA Commuter station in Ayer on the former Boston & Maine Railroad.

Image
Stone arch bridge crossing Stony Brook on the Nashua Acton and Boston Railroad in Westford MA. Built in 1872, abandoned in 1924. This bridge does not contain any mortar, it's held together entirely by gravity and rocks carefully selected to fit together. The right of way on top of it is still used as a hiking trail, as it is on Westford MA conservation land.

Image
Hobo & Lake Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad's annual Fall Foliage train crossing over the Pemigewasset River in Bridgewater New Hampshire. I took the photo from the Route 3 bridge which runs alongside the railroad bridge but about 40 feet higher.

Image
MBTA Commuter train heading to Fitchburg MA at the Ayer MBTA Station. This is former Amtrak F40PH #1008 in the lead. Not a bad shot for a cheap camera phone.

Image
Another camera phone shot of a westbound freight in Shirley MA

Image
Springfield Terminal (Guilford Rail System) SD-26 #621 entering the yard at East Deerfield MA. This is the oldest diesel-electric locomotive currently in active freight duty in North America, and one of only 2 of it's kind left in the world.

That's enough train related stuff, here's a few more

Image
This is from the unloading area of the Wardance Triple Charilift at Nashoba Valley Ski Area in Westford MA on a really foggy day a week before opening last November. I spent a lot of time in this same location during the past 4 years working there, best job I ever had.

And last but not least:

Image
My dog "Bouncer" (a Jack Russel Terrier) looking out on Lee's Pond in Multonboro New Hampshire. Again, a decent shot for a cheap camera phone.

That's more true over agricultural areas, where there's enormous fields of different crops. Heavily populated and rural wooded areas tend to look the same.
