Id really like to be able to have all of my music in MP3 file format so I can use them wherever I want, etc. However, iTunes isnt letting me take the music I bought off of iTunes and put it in a regular folder on my computer.

What I am trying to do is this: I play a game called Drift City occasionally, and it allows you to put your own music in a special folder so you can play it in the game. There are a couple songs I want in that folder, but iTunes isnt letting me do it. I can copy and paste files ive downloaded with Frostwire, but not iTunes.

I also want to be able to do the same thing with like a flash drive or external hard drive.

Is there anything I can do or am I just stuck with only being able to listen to my purchased music off of iTunes and my iPod?

Also, if my entire iTunes library and anything iTunes related is wiped from my hard drive, can I simply re-download the music I previously bought at no cost? Im getting my entire computer upgraded practically, so ill pretty much have a new computer except for the mouse, monitor, keyboard, tower, and DVD drive.

No, you can't re download the music and you can't convert the files to mp3s.

So in other words, I have to pay for it again... -_-
Jeese, there has to be some way. I bought a few games too, so this really sucks. Wait a minute...I can just transfer the music and apps from my iPod to my iTunes, right? Well, that solves one of my problems.

Oh ok. So I just have to re-download iTunes, log in and re-download all my stuff again. That works.

Actually, I ment when you connect your iPod with your computer, it asks to transfer its content to iTunes. That would probably be quicker than re-downloading everything.
