I used to be a sneakers guy, but I got so sick and tired of it. I still use sneakers casually with sporty clothes when I'm not trying to achieve any special appearence but, normally from day to day I developed a passion for cute little lace-up/moccasin hybrids, usually in suede.

I love sandals. If I could, I'd wear them all year. I like regular sandals more than flip-flops.

No shoes for me, I quit. XD
But when I have to, it's sandals all the way~ (Teva is my favorite brand.)
I used to wear them all year, except in snow.

I like the look of moccasin-type shoes, though I've never had any myself. :3

I like boots, but they should be well worn in and high quality. I'm currently a big fan of the Danner brand, but they stopped making my favorite kind, a low slip on boot with gore-tex and an aggressive outsole that was good for hiking.

Slip-on loafers - if I have to wear shoes at all.

Usually shoes, boots and flip flops, as long as it doesn't have laces. I have one pair of shoes that have laces on them, and they were a gift.

Loafers are da' shizzit.

But I worry if they look too dressy.

Skater shoes, if that's even a category. I can just slip my feet in and be on my way, no silly fumbling with laces or dirty velcro strips.

Sport sandals with a siped tread (like that of a deck shoe) and a neutral heel. Preferably with velcro adjustment on every strap and a quick-release buckle on the instep strap.
These are my current favorites. They have all of my preferred criteria except that the strap-adjusters are not velcro. The heel looks thick when viewed from the side, but it's really a cupped heel that's the same thickness as the rest of the sole.

This is a picture from the YSL 2009 spring summer campaign. I'm not a big fan of the trousers or the slouchy look in general but check out the shoes. In my oppinion the perfect shoe, and I actually own a pair myself since I found them on colette.fr

I just can't get over how nice they are. Kind of like a brownish version of the little things Setsuna from Gundam 00 is wearing in the first season, like a hybrid between a small sneaker and a moccasin:

In the warm months I get to wear my favorite footwear: either Birkenstock sandals or Teva sport sandals.

Sneakers like so:

bonus points if they have pink in them.

I like wearing converses every now and then, but they're suicide for my knees as they don't give much support to my ankles + my ~special~ soles don't fit in there(have ankles that bend inwards and so every time I walk/run, the shocks that usually get absorbed by your shins, goes directly to my knee caps).

It depends I'm doing, and where I'm doing it. In the summer, I usually wear my Teva sandals. ANY time that I'm working with anything heavy, I ALWAYS wear steel-toe boots, I broke my big toe once while moving a road case off a truck for a concert, and I don't want to do that again. In the winter, I usually work outside, so I wear my Sorrel boots, for comfort as well as safety from frostbite. When I'm working outside in the summer, I wear a good pair of work boots, I usually try a different brand each year (I usually wear through a pair a season), last summer I had a pair of Die-hard boots that worked great. Whenever I'm hiking, I have an old pair of Adidas sneakers that are completely worn in and really comfortable.

I wear sneakers and leather boots. I refuse to wear sandals or flip-flops because if I wear them and step on dog crap or someone's spit/mucus, it might touch my bare toes.
