If they had said "crawler excavator", and shown a picture of it, the readers of the article would actually learn something as well as get the sensation of the story.
Agreed. >3<; I hate when they do that too, because what do I do if I want to look into it further? Google "digger?" Pffff. D: It's usually not hard to read a word you don't know and figure out what it probably means from the context. More confidence in readers, plz.
