It's a moral question I can't solve, do you use modern medicine to keep children that have genetic disorders like down's syndrome alive in this scenario:
A healthy mother, if she had this child, would most likely have to devote far more resources into it, for it only to die before she did, when if modern medicine didn't intervene to aid the birth, the same mother could have 2 healthy children instead, which would outlive her, and probably live for generations to come.
