MY current favorite, as it has been for about 4 years, Is dungeons and dragons...

I have just one character at the moment, An elf rogue 2 swashbuckler 3, I really enjoy playing him, He's quite the dashing rebel hero, but with a silly less then serious side, and as a skirmisher he is supreme

If by topics you mean "Special Interests" topics, then my current favourite is SpongeBob SquarePants. :D (As it has been for 5 years. :P)

My favourite character is Mr. Krabs, I'm not too sure why, I just see him as a funny character. And my favourite episodes are either Atlantis SquarePants, SpongeBob SquarePants vs The Big One, The Krabby Kronicle or Band Geeks. :D

That's all I can say now, I can say more later though. :)

Blind Willie McTell was a blues musician active throughout all of his adult life (his recording career started in 1927 for Victor Records co.). He made most of his money, though, from playing at cafés.

At this time most Blues musicians were unable to support themselves through playing music alone and so had to get second jobs, but McTell was able to support himself and his wife (he also funded his wife's studying to be a nurse).

McTell had no children, which was an extreme rarity among Blues musicians of that period, especially those so well travelled as he was.

Also, on August 19th of this year, it shall be the 50th anniversary of his death.

(There's a lot more I could talk about, but I don't want to become excessive)

If you want to know about 16th century England and Henry VIII, I'm the go to girl. My interest started about 16 years ago. I shelved it for awhile and then got back into it again.

My other obsession is music. I have a huge music collection from all genres and it's the one thing I've been passionate about since I was little.

*looks at own post*

...

Well my latest food interest is baked goods (I've had other interests related too food as well)
Which started around the time I went vegan, so around my 18th.
Before that I was into health food and also at some point cooking ( not baking!).

Anyway, right now I've lost some grip on my interest but I still hold it very dear to me.

My favourite books, and I wholeheartedly suggest them to anyone wanting to make baked goods, or sweets, are:

- Vegan cupcakes take over the world (dairy and egg free! very handy to have when making things for people with dairy/egg allergies or who's religion prevent them to consume the two)
- Larousse du Chocolat by Pierre Herme - Incredible book with chocolate inspired recipes, the candied grapefruit skins with chocolate = heavenly
- Le Cordon Bleu Dessert Techniques - This explains a lot of the basics of making desserts, cakes, ice creams etc. very handy to have around. Gives room for experimentation seeing that these recipes are just basics. Though each chapter has a 'big' recipe to impress.
- Chocolate & Confectioneries - One of the best books you can get about the making of chocolates and other sweets. All of the recipes I've made so far from this have been a hit and truly impress the people that taste it. It also has a recipe on how to make gummi bears ^^ vegetarian and non vegetarian!
- Grand Livre de Cuisine : Desserts et Patisserie (By Alain Ducasse *worships*)
THIS is THE book you HAVE to have. Even if you're just going to look at it, it is incredible. If you want to impress your girlfriend with a nice dessert, this is the book to make it from
The recipe for praline filled chocolates is one of my favourites, there's also a very good soft bread recipe. I'm planning on making the recipe for fruit gummies (pate de fruits) this Summer, when I can get fresh strawberries by the dozen:)

Snapshot from the book:
Image

(I can;t make that yet though;)... still need to get an ice cream machine someday...Every time I come home with a kitchen appliance, it's like taking home a stray kitten..
Mum: ANOTHER ONE??? DON'T YOU HAVE ENOUGH ALREADY????
Me: But mummmm it was just standing there...*clings to kitchen appliance* how could I just leave it behind?)

Anime, anime and more anime! For the past 2 1/2 years, all I allowed myself to watch was Hellsing and Trinity Blood, because I became so emotionally involved with the characters that I was afraid that they'd get "replaced" if I got into other anime. But now, I've overcome that fear (for the most part). Now I like Gurren Lagann and Code Geass, too! I'm also planning on watching a lot of "classic" anime this summer, such as:

Neon Genesis Evangelion
Trigun
Gundam Wing
Elfen Lied
FLCL

And yeah, I know Evangelion and Elfen Lied have a tendency to be really screwed up and potentially freak people out, but it doesn't matter to me. Anime stuff doesn't bother me too much; it's the realistic stuff that unnerves me. Like certain episodes of CSI; for example, the episode where a lady got severe radiation poisoning from someone at a nuclear power plant deliberately tampering with her orange juice.
