oh man, that made me laugh. it seemed ironic in a way. I realize now that you probably mean it's easier for the manufacturer, but I first thought (resentfully) that it probably IS easier for people whose daily lives include relationships with tailors or sewing machines to just take care of things like pants that are too long.
not being one of those people, I remained frustrated with pants until I finally realized I could just cut the extra length off my jeans with scissors and wear them as-is. I look like an old hippy, but scissors are indeed the easy way to deal with it.
