Where can you go to be treated for this? Regular doctor or gynecologist? They say SSRI's work for this? Has anyone had to deal with PMDD?

I was diagnosed PMDD by my Gyne and an Endocrinologist. I was on SSRI at the time and they didn't really make a difference. I wonder if undiagnosed ASD / ADHD made it harder to treat?

I also remember taking some type of tablet that made my periods less heavy, but I can't remember for the life of me what it was called. It wasn't contraception or a hormone.

I'd say Endocrinologists are the best bet.

I’ve definitely dealt with PMDD.
I don’t have any experience with SSRI’s as I think they are a bandaid approach and can further mess with hormonal regulation.

I’ve used acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine to regulate my hormones and therefore my menstral cycle and PMS. I still suffer from moodiness and I think my reactivity to it is due to poor interoception and poor emotional intelligence in the moment (the ASD components?), but it’s predictable every month! I like to pick fights haha! Eeek!

Get your hormones checked and go from there?
