Do you wear makeup?
When I wear heals I f*** up the floor, or the shoe ...or both.
That's okay though, since I like the way I look without them....
I also mess up my feet and ankles with heels.
Honestly I am okay (or used to be okay) with the way I look but it seems as if others aren’t. Do you ever get negative comments about your looks and how do you deal with them? I just avoid people as much as I can.

Yes, I do. In fact, unless it is a true emergency, I won't leave the house without makeup. I am very critical/self conscious of my appearance. I have been this way since I was a teenager. I only know how to do my makeup one way, regardless of the occasion. I have poor fine motor skills, so I have trouble with art and things like that. I can't paint my own nails. I also try to avoid wearing heels due to balance issues and severe pain in my feet when I wear them. Also, I can't wear anything tight around the bottoms of my legs due to sensory issues. So I can't wear skinny jeans and I avoid nylons, tights, or leggings most of the time.

To those that wear makeup: do you wear foundation? How do you ignore the feeling?
And when I say foundation I mean anything with pigment that you smear over your entire face such as bb cream, tinted moisturizer, cc cream, skin tint, concealer, etc. Some people claim not to wear foundation but then wear one of these. Technically these are all foundations but under a different name. I find that they all create the same gross feeling on my skin. They make my acne worse too.

Yeah you're right. The only stuff that doesnt do that is powders for me like Bare minerals loose matte powder not the original. The original has bismuth oxychloride and it will worsen your skin.
Lancome dual finish powder is another perfect one. But it does have fragrance which might aggravate your sensory issues.
A corrector slash concealer which doesn't ever feel bad is Tatcha the pearl but it is very overpriced and only comes in three shades.
Ive used a ton of the supposedlybest things both specialty pro things and normal things, all prices, so Im not kidding when I say this. ...The best looking foundation slash concealer is Kryolan dermacolour which can come in palettes.
that one does aggravate acne if you wear it often. If youare sensitive to mineral oil like me...

Yes. That’s why I only wear loose mineral powder foundation without the bismuth. One of my issues is that I have very oily skin. As the day goes on foundation mixes with my natural oils (and sweat during the warmer months) and creates this awful gross feeling on my skin and creates more acne and clogged pores.
I looked up the two foundations you suggested. They appear to be cream. Creams are the worst for me. The coverage is amazing but they never dry on my face. Touching my face while I’m wearing them is like touching wet paint. It transfers easily and everywhere. It doesn’t matter if I set it with powder, primer, etc. — it all slides off of my face. My face gets so oily people ask me if I’m sweating. Then the bad cystic acne and clogs it gives me is awful. Yes, I hate creams the most. Even wearing a cream blush will leave zits all over my cheeks and make them look greasy.
I remove my makeup properly and thoroughly. So poor removal isn’t the reason why it gives me acne either. I can’t stand wearing makeup in the first place. The last thing I want to do is sleep in it. Actually when I do wear makeup the first thing I do when I get home is remove it.
Wearing makeup slows me down too. When I wear makeup I don’t want to move much because my face sweats more easily in makeup. Makeup on top of sweat makes my face itch. Then I don’t like when it gets on my clothes when it transfers because it makes my clothes look dirty. My face feels dirty and my clothes look dirty (if it transfers). I feel dirty and gross when I wear makeup.
Some of the YouTube videos are funny because some of the women will claim in their videos to have a foundation free makeup routine but apply concealer all over their face or use a tinted moisturizer, skin tint, etc. Also, concealers tend to be heavier feeling (and more pigmented) than regular foundation so that’s just gross. I can just imagine how nasty their faces must feel.
Oh yeah. Nylons and tights feel gross. They are also waste of money because they rip so easily.
I don’t like the feeling of denim. I like leggings as long as the material is soft and not too tight.
If given the choice between wearing these uncomfortable clothes or makeup I would wear the uncomfortable clothes. Makeup makes my clothes dirty and hurts my eyes and skin. A pet peeve of mine is walking around with dirty clothes. As soon as I see a stain on my clothes I want to take it off and wash it. I have had trouble getting makeup stains out of my clothes. Some never come out.

Actually, the feeling of it has never bothered me. I am bothered by certain clothing textures. The only time I am ever bothered by the feeling of foundation is if I can't wash it off before I go to bed. Then I can't sleep. My skin is very, very oily so I have to powder it at least every two hours. Otherwise it gets really shiny. I have tried pretty much every foundation on the market and they all get shiny after an hour or so. My skin is splotchy and uneven with lots of flaws naturally so I have to wear foundation. But everyone is different.

My skin has lots of hyperpigmentation from acne. I don’t think anyone should be stuck having to wear foundation. I used to feel that way and suffered for a few years wearing foundation. I tried powdering every few hours and even used blotting sheets every few hours. I found all of this messy and inconvenient. It didn’t work either. Skin feels better when left alone. No one should have to wear foundation and punish themselves for not having perfect skin.
When I wore foundation everyday I felt as if it was my punishment for having “bad” skin. I started wearing foundation at age 17 because I was bullied by classmates for having acne. I felt so embarrassed that I hid myself with foundation. I think this is why I hate makeup so much. I felt forced into wearing it. I remember as a teenager staying at home and refusing to go out if I didn’t feel like wearing foundation. Foundation on top of oily, cystic acne feel feels so bad. It itches and hurts.
At least you admit that foundation has a certain feel on the face. So many women pretend as if they can’t feel anything in their face even with layers or makeup. I also don’t like when their makeup gets on my papers or on the telephones when I’m at work. Makeup is just gross. It’s only okay for special occasions or if you’re on tv or a celebrity or something. It’s part of a costume.
Also, foundation has a look. It’s really hard to find one that matches exactly. It can look like a mask in certain lighting. It’s noticeable when someone is wearing foundation. It doesn’t always look bad but it’s noticeable. I refer to it as the “foundation look”. It creates a specific look to the face and gives the skin a certain texture. I feel more self conscious in foundation.

I use Shout all the time on stained clothes. I set clothes aside and spray them with Shout before washing them.
I can't wear foundation or anything like it. I even hate moisturizers and use them only when my skin is extremely dry. And even then I only use one that has no smell and feels like water on the skin. I have always hated the feel of cremes or salves on my skin.
Wearing make-up for me just means I put some colour around my eyes. I like wearing eyeliner, some very discreet eyeshadow and maskara. Every now and then I paint my nails but I usually can't stand it longer than a day then I can no longer deal with the feeling.
As for heels, I love them. I hate wearing trainers or the like, I almost never wear those. If a have the choice I would always buy a show with heels. Maybe that's because I'm small and it makes me bigger and I feel taken more seriously then. I don't know. I also think it feels better. As soon as I get home, however, any kind of shoes come off. I hate wearing shoes at home. Soft socks are the best

I have tried moisturizers, primers, sprays. Adding this to foundation makes my face feel even heavier and gross. Wearing foundation is bad enough so adding extra stuff on top or under it makes it worse.
