I think its really silly and childish to have a woman's only forum. They should have maybe just started a sticky thread saying women's issues. Where they can talk about their time of the month and babies etc. :P This site should be united. I think ladies are insulted by the way men treated them in the past. Enough already. We should be equal. But people let power got to their heads. Its almost like having a blacks or whites only forum.

I am not so sure 'power went to their heads' it was only one head and that was Alex's, and as for power, well, it is his website.

If anyone wants a sticky for men's issues, I can sticky it in the Adult section, I have no problem with that.

Merle

Why? I think women can offer good advice on those issues too. Well most of them, or at least support people. Maybe we should have threads for, HFA, Aspergers, Autism, ADHD, the flu, common cold etc?

No. It reminds me of the school disco's in primary school, as in aged from 4.5-11. Where all the girls would stand on one side of the room and the boys would be on the other. Its very silly. Just the forum was bad enough, but to make a thread saying "where males stand in this forum", is ridiculous.

this thread started Thu Sep 27, 2007 2:03 pm by the moderator of the Woman's Discussion thread. I hardly think it is 'rediculous'.

and now that you don't want the social awkwardness of the pre-teen disco dance but think we should all mix in with opinions on everything, perhaps you can help me.

I am having a vulvar itch that may or may not be a fungal infection, however all fungal preparations for such situation are for pre menopausal women, and I am post menopausal, tell me, benjimanbreeg, have you had this happen to you and if so, how did you take care of it? I am certain your insight on this situation will be helpful.

My advice would be look it up on google. Or go to your GP. Or start a thread about it. Just like I said in one of my other posts, a thread, not a forum. Obviously thats not something a guy can help you with. I didn't really even notice the women's forum till much later than that. Males or females rights don't really interest me. Women just being used for just sex, cleaning and cooking is a thing of the past in most countries nowdays, so let it go. In regards with your problem. Maybe there should be a forum for medical problems. Whats the point of a women's forum, its not going to be private and guys will still post in it anyway.

and YOU don't seem to understand I was NOT looking for someone to tell me what I can find out myself, to look it up on Google or go to my doctor. Can't you even understand that women don't want to drag out their symptoms and syndromes in front of men sometimes, but want to talk to those who have had the same experiences as they have and can discuss it from that experience? Where would I go? Random Thoughts thread? Maybe the Video and Games thread?

(you even said you didn't understand, and, because you wanted to make your point again about how you don't understand. Well, I agree with you, you certainly don't understand.)

And you don't have to understand, no one is forcing you to post in the women's thread.

Fungal (Candida) infections of the privates are not exclusive to women. However it tend not be as persistent unless they have a lowered immunity.

Bacteria eat the yeast that is why yogurt is a good treatment.

yeah, I have yogurted for weeks and it has not done the trick. I dislike my doctor intensely, and always get lost in the huge clinic he is in. I don't have a way over to the office, so I just don't go. I will try the monostat . . but

I can't tell you how stressful it is trying to talk about this private stuff knowing men are reading about how I care for my vagina health . Can't we have a place where women can just chat about it?

Yeah, of course I understand you don't want things like that broadcast over the forums. How about in the adult section though? If this is a woman's forum, does that mean girls and boys under like 12 can post in here and read the stuff? Well if thats the case, i'm pretty sure they wouldn't wanna read about it! Maybe just start a thread not going into much detail about the problem, then asking any women to PM you if they've had a similar experience.

My point anyway was, there shouldn't even be a women's thread. One. I think its sexism or whatever and the other, like you pointed out, people are gonna read through it anyway, including guys.

wow that was freeky editing my post

Bacteria isn't the only factor. That is why you need to go to a doctor.

If you are in a large clinic then don't you have the pick of the doctors? That is how it works at my clinic.

I would ask to the doctor to refer you to the gyn, you mgiht be able to do this over the phone.

Personally I think that general practice is too general and some areas suffer badly, and others are over trained. I think they should split it up into different areas. Not full specialist but they would be a better first port of call.

Sorry I am a man...

What I am saying is the public forums you can't guarantee someone's identity and it is not private. You privacy is only though you anonymity, which is up to you. You might feel more comfortable on a women health forum, as men would be less likely to go there.

well, boys and girls not being men and women might not be attracted to the adult areas. I don't want to post it in the 'Adult Section' I wanna post it in the Woman' Discussion section. And we have a Woman's Discussion section and I am posting in it. I suppose you are just going to have to deal with it.

Really, cause your opinion is gladly noted, but there isn't going to be a change in this area.

humm. . let's see. I mod for two hours when I get up in the AM, and then work an 8 hour day, then come home at 6:00PM then mod until 11:00 PM PST unless it is the weekend when I mod from the time I get up. . .around 9:00 AM to about 11:00 PM PST. I do this every day, day in and day out. So the idea of 'going to another website just so I can chat about something" seems a little silly to me. I mean, why go out of my home and family (WP) when I can do it right here?

Well glad its noted. I guess i'll just have to not let it get to me, but it really does. So I better stop, before I say something mean.

And, what'd you mean, why go away from your home to talk about it. Its only a couple of clicks away, and like he said you'd be guaranteed some more privacy.

well, if you simply must know, benjimanbreeg, I still think I can go to the Ladies' Room with out men following me in. Having a man in the Woman's Discussion is like finding a man in the Ladies room! I would not be comfortable in that situation and I feel the same way here. I am not expecting you to know how that feels, but now you know.

Its a website not a ladies room. Like I said, you can talk about private stuff via private messages.

I disagree it is like a man in the ladies' room, and it unfortunate that a little labelling can give the impression that a public forum has something private like a ladies room. If a man goes into the ladies room to spy on other women he would rightly arrested. This forum is something different altogether.

Even with ladies' rooms there is different options about gender identity. The stalls are supposed to be private.

I'm sorry but you are not going to be able to control who reads whose posts. It is better to be honest with member rather than giving this false impression. It is never going to be that way. It is a totally impossible thing to be able to manage.

You would have to have a private forum with alex checking your birth certificate before you can join up, and even then fraud is possible.

If you have any idea how you might work it by all means make it known.

you are not the arbitrator of what constitutes a website, benjimanbreeg. This website is not yours to dictate what is and isn't allowed nor accepted, or hasn't that thought occurred to you?

Exactly! I think its slightly childish. So thats why starting this thread was pointless. Fair enough, Alex made the women's forum, maybe he had a few demands for one.

Lol. It was a suggestion, not an order 8O
