I'm glad I'm not the only one who has been through this. I have picked up social skills from being in public school, but I don't act "black" enough for anyone, not even my family. They seem to think the best way to "help" me change is to pick at me. But they actually love me, school was way worse.
What is "acting black" anyway? Is it, as a female, obsessing over weave and nails and clothes? Speaking ebonics? Being short-tempered and provocative?
And what is "acting white"?
Also, I attract a lot of freaks and weirdoes. Maybe I didn't think I was the only one, but...
