I can't use soap, it dries out my already dry and eczema-prone skin. I use moisturizing (and generally soap-free) body washes like Oil of Olay or Dove (both the kinds for sensitive skin).

My soap has to be fragrance-free, since I am allergic to the smell of fragrance. :(

I use Dove sensitive-skin fragrance-free soap.

Dr Bronner's, no question about it. This is the first soap I found that I actually like, for one very important reason: you can rinse it off. It seems like almost every soap leaves a sort of film (moisturizer, perhaps) that drives me nuts. When I shower I want to feel clean when I'm done, not covered head-to-toe in an irremovable film, please. It is also the only soap (or shampoo, but it's kind of dry) you will ever need. Seriously - I don't use anything else for cleaning anything anymore.

It's also family-run by ecologically-friendly people that pay their employees well and donate excess proceeds to charity. As an extra bonus the bottle is covered with Dr. Bronner's spiritual ravings in order to bring humanity together in the ALL-ONE-GOD-FAITH. Someone apparently crucified themselves in Chicago (unbeknownst to Dr. Bronner) to promote the soaps (though he was taken down before he died). I find that somewhat difficult to believe, but it appeared in the Chicago Tribune... Here's another article on the company

ALL ONE OR NONE!! !!

shampoo. shaving foam. yeah.

Pretty much same here... I'm not too picky, as long as it's not strong scented and doesn't dry out my skin too much (I have eczema), I use pretty much what I have available.

Shower gel. Soap dries out the skin too much.
I use three different kinds of shower gel. One for when I'm staying home, one for when i'm showering to go to work and another for when i'm showering to go out in a social setting.

Wow. You all know so much about soap. I don't know what mine is. It smells like vanilla (a smell I actually like) and my husband gets it and puts it in the shower for me. Oh, and it's in a bottle so I think it's considered gel, not soap. I like it fine. I guess I never really thought about soap one way or another. I do know I hate most smells.

I use either Dove for sensitive skin or Johnson's body wash.

I use Dove. My husband uses Ivory. The smell of Ivory soap makes me SICK. My husband insists that Ivory has no scent!!

I use handmade soap that I buy from Etsy.

The current soap I am using is handmade goat's milk soap with rose petals in it. It has the slightest rose scent.

It is soo moisturizing and wonderful! It's even better than a Dove detergent bar! :D

My all-time favorite soap, though, is handmade castile soap. No scent, no harsh chemicals. Nothing but goodness for the skin.

Old thread!

I use shower gel, soap makes my skin feel sort of squeaky and dry.

I've been using a transparentish reddish fruity soap.. Kris joked that he's not sure if he should was with it or eat it!

I think he's confusing being "unscented" with having no scent. Most "unscented" things have their own scent-- saying "unscented" in reference to a product isn't the same as describing the chemical properties as odorless. If he really can't smell ivory soap at all, you should find out what he's been sniffing that's destroyed his nose.. :P
