CockneyRebel, If you need something to "keep you regular", try a hefty tablespoon of milled flax seed each morning either added to a smoothie or cold drink or sprinkled over your cereal. This stuff's great! It's like UBER fibre- it basically bulks out and lubricates your stools and gives your guts something solid to work on (you don't get diahorrea like you do with laxitives). If you want a more detailed explanation I can give you one. It isn't actually a laxative, so you don't lose weight from it. You actually gain some micronutrients from it, including the omega fatty acids that have suddenly become fashionable (though it's not as good as fish oil). You should be able to find it in any health food shop or large supermarket- if we've got it here in London then I'm sure you can find it wherever you are.
