am I anorexic?
I will tell you this now i am a guy, but i am a doctor, so don't get too mad at me. Loosing to much weight can be life threatening, unlike most guys i care for the safety of others, and what you women can't seem to understand is that we men just don't care how much you weigh so stop worrying about your looks so much, it is not only stressful, but too much stress is unhealthy.
You're a doctor and you think disordered eating is a method of trying to appeal to the opposite sex?
A doctor of what?
It's not a a problem of what women don't understand about what men want from them, women don't live and breathe just to appeal to the opposite sex.

Dr RaveMaster, most thinking on anorexia nervosa (last time I checked, anyway) is that it is less linked to a desire to appeal to men than to a desire for control over one's body and one's life, and for the praise and social status associated with being thin (ie, from other women).

5'6", eh? Yeah, I think you most likely have an eating disorder or are on the road to one. I'm the same height as you at 120-125 (varies based on time of month crap). Everyone tells me that this weight is good and skinny for me, but I maintain it with only two small meals a day and lots of caffeine to keep appetite down. If I think I overeat (three meals in a single day? omg!), I feel the urge to throw up and... sometimes do. That's because I get that same fat stomach and puffy face feeling and that can actually make me nauseated without forcing myself to throw up. This is not healthy, it's just neurotic!
To get down to your weight at this height, the calorie reduction would need to get drastic in an even more unhealthy way and I would be very bony. I know that if I feel fat after eating at 120lbs, it most likely has nothing to do with how I look, but that it's a mental thing and I would probably have that same feeling at 110lbs.
Thinking about it, I would probably become more neurotic and feel even fatter at 110lbs, because I would need to eat so much less to maintain that and merely getting adequate nutrition may cause weight gain, which means... panic!
What type of food do you eat on an average day and what is your exercise?
