12. Only because I threatened to kill myself (I was sent off to see several mental health professionals).
I wouldn't have been diagnosed until much later if that hadn't happened, or I wouldn't have ever been diagnosed at-all.

Still trying to decide whether to get formally diagnosed.
Definitely not NT as im dyslexic, some dyspraxia too which was formally diagnosed. My ex's sister who works with young people on autism spectrum as full time job for 10 years is convinced I have aspergers as did the educational psychologist who diagnosed my dyslexia but you need to have be specialist in that field to make the official diagnosis. There has been some suggestion that despite my frequent social mishaps I would not be diagnosed as my symptoms would not cuase sufficient impariment. i can pass for NT a lot of the time; but other times when i have meltdowns (last time on a train when it was overcrowded and very noisy) i feel every bit the aspie.

December 2012, at age 44, by a prominent CT neuropsychologist who works exclusively with spectrum kids and adults. Felt vindicated/validated, since I'd suspected AS for almost 10 years...

At age 18/19.

The psychiatry agreed on that I have an ASD when I was still 18 and settled on AS right after I took an IQ test one month after I had turned 19.

I was diagnosed when I was about four. My symptoms were pretty obvious back then. I still have to work hard to pass as NT, but it's possible now that I can sort of read body language.
