Oh yes! I remember having a boyfriend who was in the Navy. We took naps together and he would put his arms around me. It felt soothing and comfortable. He would sometimes stroke my cheek and kiss me. I felt safe. I don't mind hugging, cuddling, or holding hands.

Being held by a man is more reassuring than being held by a woman. I wish it happened to me more often.

I've never desired it as I see no appeal in it I consider it like a deer wanting to be hugged by a lion. Unlike being held by a gal I don't see how it'd be reassuring (I find guys tend to be incapable of close contact without trying to turn it sexual) or emotionally intimate (I find guys tend to whine about how emotional gals are and dread talking to them about emotions likening it to being used as an emotional tampon)

I guess it should be reassuring when the man is “on your side”, whether he wants to have sex with you or not. If you feel like his prey, it’s obviously not the case.

I can’t know how it feels to the woman, but I also doubt women can grasp the full extent of their own charm from the point of view of a man. These things are hardwired into our brains, independently of our rôles in modern society, and men do have a “protection instinct”. Unless some circumstance ruins the fun, a woman’s body is inherently sweet (yes, even if she could actually kick your ass ), and you really want to hug her, kiss her, play with her, make her enjoy your embrace and your devotion, and get along really well with her. And, of course, have sex with her as part of this game, though you don’t necessarily think about it right from the beginning, and most definitely you don’t normally want to do it against her will—you want to seduce her so she wishes it as much as you do. Naturally, how this flows depends on how the woman responds to each step, and there can be trouble if she rejects the man’s advances and he refuses to back off.

Not anymore. I don't think I can trust getting close to another guy. Not for at least a while anyway.

No, not really, but I don't really want to held by members of either sex. Nothing against anyone, I just hate being touched, especially around my shoulders. One guy I dated kissed on my shoulder and I hated it so much, I scrubbed that area in the shower for weeks after.

Yes, I do-and miss it acutely now.
When I've had a bf, I adored being held in an enfolding embrace, the deep pressure all over was very soothing.
