Have never shopped online.

I don't trust my financial data to the internet.
Plus, I need to see & touch a product in 3-D (real life) before I consider purchasing it.

I understand that shopping online would help to avoid having to be out amongst people, which does make me uncomfortable-
but it's just not a tradeoff I can make, personally (for the above reasons).

I am out in the boonies with picky taste in clothes and books, so online shopping is my friend!

Almost everything is purchased online. It is difficult for me to interact with strangers in stores, and even a large proportion of food is ordered online and delivered.

I don't like shopping online. I want to be able to touch and look at what I'm buying in person. Depending on what it is I might need to smell it or try it on too. I'd never want to buy most clothes online because it probably wouldn't fit and returning things by mail is even more of a hassle than returning things to the store and I don't want to do either.

If I get things by mail it could get lost in the mail or someone might steal it from my porch.

I also don't have a credit card except for a prepaid K-Mart one which usually has almost no money on it and I have to go to the mall to put money on it. I got it to pay for my online game.

I've thought about buying some things online that I can't find in stores but I haven't yet and would rather shop in stores even though I don't like people and don't leave the house much.

I often buy books online but I rarely buy clothes or shoes online because I have to touch them and to feel if they fit. So I have to go to a shop although I hate it. But I plan it and try to have enough time and -very important- I try to avoid other appointments at the same day because I know that it would be difficult for me after a shopping day.

I buy a lot of stuff online except for groceries. I have to see and feel the food before buying. Freshness and texture are very important to me. I feel like I spend a large part of my life doing shopping and ordering stuff. It can't be helped as I'm a mom, and everyone else in my family hate shopping even more. Plus they'll be buying nothing but muffins and candy bars. :D

I do not drive so I tend to buy things online that are to small for delivery and to heavy or bulky to carry home. And you do get things a little cheaper sometimes.

I prefer to do most of my shopping online instead of going to the stores. Who agrees with me on that?
I am sure the majority of WP members are online shoppers as well.

I have always been happy with my online purchases except for this one time. I was certain I bought a short, tailored black woollen coat from an online clothing shop. I was already looking forward to wearing it because I had some nice scarfs that could go well with it. When the coat finally arrived I was shocked, I don't have the right words to describe it but instead of niceley tailored short
black coat I unpacked this bizar looking thing. The top of the garment looked like the coat I had ordered but just before the shop shipped it they had apparently decided to sew a large peace of extra cloth on to the coat. It looked like a coat that had a nineteenth century skirt attached to it. It was the weirdest peace of clothing I ever saw. It was supposed to be a short coat but when I put it on it nearly reached the floor. The biggest disaster is that I forgot to send it back on time and missed my chance of getting a refund. I still have it and I get pissed off every time I look at it.

What are your online shopping experiences?

I love online shopping. The only thing that I do not shop online for is clothes and that's because I MUST try the item on before I buy. I have an idea what looks nice but when I put it on it might look absolutely atrocious so for those kinds of purchases I must go to the store. Until they make some kind of virtual reality mannequin that can try on the outfits for me I am stuck with buying in person when it comes to clothes.
