I avoid bad words all together because they make you look like a ret*d, unintelligent, hick in front of people.

'ret*d' is an awful word in my book when used incorrectly.

Doesn't bother me in the slightest. In you're female in this area of the country, having any personality whatsoever, a self-esteem, or any opinions of your own will automatically get that label hurled in your direction by a certain subset of the population.

I've come to see it for what it is... the spiteful utterances of the chronically incompetent, sexist male, who is chafing at the fact that "Even th' womenfolk!!" are easily outdoing him.

If you don't want me to show you up, then do better. If you are too stupid to do better, then at least have enough self-respect to shut your omega-male whinehole and do what little you can.

Im talking about when talking to strangers, it gives them a really bad impression to save bad words in your sentences.

All I know is that once when I was a kid this girl told me I was a b***h for no apparent reason at all. To my knowledge I wasn't acting like a b***h. Either I was totally misinterpreted or she was a b***h herself.

I don't like the word, and I don't really use it. It's just another one of those words that is overly used and misused.

A female dog.
Really.

call me a b***h.

Being a b***h means I won't compromise what's in my heart. It means I live my life MY way. It means I won't allow anyone to step on me.

When I refuse to tolerate injustice and speak against it, I am defined as
a b***h.

The same thing happens when I take time for myself instead of being
everyone's maid, or when I act a little selfish.

It means I have the courage and strength to allow myself to be who I
truly am and won't become anyone else's idea of what they think I
"should" be.

I am outspoken, opinionated and determined. I want what I want and there
is nothing wrong with that!

So try to stomp on me, try to douse my inner flame, try to squash every

ounce of beauty I hold within me. You won't succeed.

And if that makes me a b***h, so be it. I embrace the title and am proud
to bear it.

B - Babe
I - In
T - Total
C - Control of
H - Herself

That's how I feel about it as well. As I know this word could offend others, I tend to avoid calling someone else by that word.

Personally I use the word b***h a lot. Funny thing is, I never call women that, I only call other guys b***h. ie. some other guy is complaining, I tell him to "stop being such a b***h." b***h can be applied to men too.

Other times when I use the word b***h is when I'm just talking about a bitchin' set of wheels or something. I don't see what's wrong with that.

calling a guy a girls put down.. .
Like saying 'you throw, run, hit like a girl!" makes it even WORSE on them, doesn't it?

Interensting corollary. ever wonder where the term "it, he, she, they, etc SUCK?? comes from?

Came from prison slang of who gave fellatio and who received fellatio (oral stimulation of the penis, esp. to orgasm.) the one who 'sucked' was in the female, or one down position.
Hence, that is why it is a put down. If you 'sucked' you were less than.

I hate the word b***h because I have let it flay me alive when someone wanted to put me down. I never heard the word c**t (see, I spell it out because it means very little to me) I guess I could intellectually know you were trying to hurt me but I wouldn't even shrug cause I wasn't inculcated to it.

I just wish I felt that way about b***h. I think I will run it though my 'desensitizing' program and take the sting out if it for me. I will just think they are calling me a c**t, instead.

I call my (female) dog a b***h all the time. I've done it so much that she actually happily responds to it now! lol Hey, it's a completely different meaning in the dog universe. And at my last school, we'd all joke around saying things like, "You son of a biscuit!"

Actually, if you call a woman a sow, that's much worse than calling a man a boar (however that might be taken). I'm not sure that there are masculine specific animal words which are used as insults - probably a sign of the dominance of men in husbandry throughout time.

I don't think it's sexist. You might say "wow, what a b***h" if a woman is rude, but if it's a man, you'd say "wow, what a dick." It's the same thing. Men are in no way exempt.
