Hmm,. I think when guys say that kind of thing, it makes me think why and in a way wouldn't some matience be better than not giving a s--t.

I think it indicates an insensitive guy who has no idea how much pressure women go through from the day they are born to be pretty and feminine. They are the same guys who would secretly complain to their friends if their girlfriend stopped wearing makeup that she always looks plain and washed out and he wishes she would make more of an effort to look nice, especially when they go out and he's seen in public with her. They have no idea what most women look like with no makeup on and would complain about that if they did. Basically, it's BS. Any guy who complains about what you wear/don't wear, how you do your makeup or hair, how you choose to express yourself is a judgemental ass and should be dumped immediately. If you love makeup (I do, and wear it regularly), then you do you and don't care what anyone else thinks about it!

I definitely agree. Blame popular make up trends like contouring and highlighting. But there was a really bad makeup trend called "Strobing" just look it up.

Ever feel like despite the drama from the owner and controversies that come along with the brand. I kind of feel weird wanting to get my hand on a couple of items.

https://www.limecrime.com/

The palette I wanted: https://www.limecrime.com/eyes/palettes ... e-palette/

And the lip product color:https://www.limecrime.com/lipsticks/velvetines-matte-lipstick/cashmere-grey-beige

But I might go to somewhere else for a liquid lipstick. Maybe I'll stick with Kat Von D or Anastasia Beverley Hill liquid lipsticks. Since Lime Crime stopped selling the Suedeberry liquid lipstick or "Velvetines I wanted
:-(

I was going to find a way for it to work for me and my how to get it to look good for a deeper skin tone like me. Is it weird that I wanted to purchase something from the site for a long time.

Nope. I feel very masculine on the "inside" even though I identify as female and have a mainly female gender expression. I cannot tolerate the feel, smell, or weird fakeness that makeup has. I also cannot gap its purpose, nor do I understand what it is all for or how to use it, anyway. I often notice how odd it looks on others, like the line around the jaw and the very different color it makes the face versus the neck and body....it does seem like part of an odd female uniform in the professional world. I guess I have been lucky that I have a job even though I won't wear it.

I hate wearing makeup, because I hate how it feels on my skin. It gets all over my clothes too. I still wear makeup to work or special occasions though because I've been called unattractive a lot. So I feel as if I need it. I only wear tinted moisturizer and mascara. I hate it though. I feel like I'm forced to wear it. I've been called "ugly" with makeup too. So I guess technically it doesn't matter.

I also really dislike the feeling of makeup on my skin. I tend to break out when using anything, including sunscreen. When I have to look a bit fancy I use mascara and lipstick. That said, where I live the natural look is pretty common, women my age generally don't wear heavy makeup. It's more the teenagers.

Someone asked about mascara brands. In general, the Kanebo brand is pretty good for sensitive skin, and it's good quality, except maybe a bit expensive? I use their mascara, and my mother has a face cream which is very good.

Also, the "natural look lovers"? Give them some pictures and ask them what they prefer. I n most cases what they think to be barefaced is light makeup, they just can't see the difference. In any case I feel that men should perhaps be reticent about criticizing women's business. It's not very charming.

Sounds like you have really sensitive skin, I agree it's on the teenagers side, but this also can fall right under editorial, fashion ads, or magazine photoshoots as well as runway modeling and so called YouTube beauty gurus as much as they say they don't use a lot I beg to differ plus Photoshop retouching. If you want a good example try searching "Beyoncé L'Oreal untouched photos" This can validate some things on the heavy makeup hehe.

I like makeup that looks done but not so crazy heavy and I'm in my early to mid 20s. I think a natural look can be nice and sometimes enhanced if evening out your skin and a light hand at the makeup is done correctly and not so obvious looking.

I know someone asked for a good mascara brand, I say try Bare Minerals, I'm not sure where you live but try Aveda "Mosscara" mascara. If you're not into Aveda I'd say try Benefit Cosmetics "They're Real",Roller Lash Mascara and/or Badgal lash mascara. But I'm not sure if the poster who was looking/asking around for mascara brands that are not so harsh on the wallet and if so, try Clinique they're pretty good not horribly priced imo.

I can't wear make up do to sensory issues. The feel of it on my skin drives me crazy. I've tried many times in the past to wear it but just can't tolerate it.

I love Maybelline makeup! BB cream, Baby Lips lip balms and color tattoo eyeshadow are staples.

I'm part of a community that stresses the importance of grooming. As much as I would like to not be effected by the criticism for not wearing make-up, I feel obliged to wear it simply because my peers do. I don't know how to. I don't really care how to. Yet it's weird to see all my friends wearing it. I researched both sides of the argument. They're willing to teach me and I half-heartedly say that I'm willing to learn. Make-up feels weird and I've tried it three times by the age of 19.
I can feel it on my face and it actually makes me likely to touch my face. I stare in the mirror longer than I typically do because I wonder if it's as apparent to everyone else as it is to me. Do I feel pretty or more confident? Not really. But I feel that I mask better when I do. I was recently diagnosed so I still struggle with the, "Be yourself" part of everything. :|

I can do makeup well, but most of the time, I just can't be bothered. Dressing up and looking nice aren't things I do often anymore. If I'm feeling happy I'll be more likely to put makeup on. When I'm unhappy, I don't even care to shower or brush my hair. If I leave home though, I'll at least look like I made some effort.

I like make up but can't wear everything because of skin allergies. I don't know what triggers it really. No foundation or occasionally low coverage bb cream. I put more sunscreen (that gives pretty skin btw). I don't very much know how to blend shadows, but ivory/salmon/peach looks ok on me. I put eyeliner a lot, in brown or slightly reddish brown. I avoid mascara as it's uncomfortable, but if I put some it's brown, black is too much. And I like lipstick, in coral/peach/brownish. Warm natural colors in fact. No fave brand, like I don't know many anyway, and lots of them do bb creams that are too dark, and eyeliner too dark. So it's when I find one that fits. I don't like to buy stuff like that online but there were brands for redheads that had just what I needed and I have no complaint.

I enjoy wearing it, and I've worn it outside the house since I was 13. I played in children's makeup sets as a child, so I had a little knowledge on applying makeup before my mom let me wear it to school. I never got makeup advice from youtube videos, but I did get advice from gossip magazines (My mom bought them a lot as a kid. They're good to pass the time when you're pooping.) and my mom (she's a cosmetologist). I usually do basic stuff, so you won't ever see me with overlined lips and a contoured face. I can't wait until those trends die. But anyways, I used to wear more eye makeup as a teenager, but now I'm usually too lazy to apply it except for a little eyeshadow and mascara. I've realized that adding a little foundation, blush, mascara, and tinted lip balm highlights my natural features without looking too made up.

As for my favorite makeup products, I usually enjoy finding them in discount stores so I can buy more products at a lower price. I mainly enjoy buying lip products, so I have a lot of lipstick and lip balm. I'm always excited to see Revlon lipstick and Lip Smackers for a cheap price. I like Covergirl mascara because it's not too hard to wash off and it doesn't flake off. When it comes to blush, usually almost any brand works as long as it's pigmented. I really like Essense Blush Up! ombre blush because it's pigmented and lasts a long time. Jordana retractable eyeliner, Elf and Wet n Wild eyeshadow, and New York Color Liquid Lipshine lip gloss are also good products to try if you want to get something cheap.

By the way, when I said I have a lot of lip balm, I mean HUNDREDS of tubes. The reason why I have so many is because I'm a sucker for flavored lip balm and I enjoy collecting and using Lip Smackers. I'm still upset that the brand was sold to Markwins. Their quality has lowered since then!
