Lol you don't want cancer cos it might kill you. It would be cool if your immune system could destroy them, though :)

Also the fact it hurts.

I think she meant was if she got breast cancer, she have to have them cut off and the health insurance would pay for it. People do sometimes get their breasts removed due to cancer but it depends on how bad it is. If it wasn't bad, only they open it up and cut that part out but they still have their breasts. But I am sure they are unable to nurse a baby after that because they had to remove a little part of it.

That's what I meant. I don't need to nurse a baby because I hate children and am never having children.

Me too and the idea of my body as 'baby maker'...it makes me feel like vomiting.

Hi Mechanical Girl,

I know what you mean. Had all kinds of unwanted attention just because I had breasts. Yuck! I'd also get rid of mine if I had the money. Mine keep getting bigger, & I hate every moment of it. :-( I hate breast, hate bras, hate the whole package. I will never understand why anyone would want bigger boobs. Like you said, they just get in the way.

Good luck!

When I was in 6th grade, people started asking me if I stuffed my bra. I didn't know where that was coming from because I didn't realize my breasts were that big. They have gotten bigger since and then again this year. They got bigger last summer and then went back to their normal size after I had the D&C done when I had a missed misscarriage.

Sometimes I find having breasts is a joke because if people are never tending to have kids nor nurse a baby, what's the point in having them, same as having wider hips and ovulating and having extra body fat. Women tend to have more body fat than men because we need it for the baby when we are pregnant. But then you get more body fat because your legs get a little bigger when you're pregnant for the baby. It's nature's way of storing it for in case you don't have food so your body can use it for energy.

Update...heavy resistance training made me so lean I'm finally losing them! I'm so happy! I was so pleased to look in the mirror and see them recede. I felt like my body belonged to me...like it was my own machine, not just a helpless little sex object/baby maker.

Stupidity like the above comment is why there was a need for a Women's Discussion forum at all.

If you walk into a plastic surgeon's office and order a breast augmentation procedure, of course it is going to be elective surgery and out-of-pocket.

BUT if you start complaining to your GP about excessive back pain, and your breasts are big enough to draw attention, the doctor will likely connect the source of your pain to the size of your breasts. If you have health insurance, it will cover breast reduction surgery. The warning on these procedures for women is that insurance usually requires that a minimum percentage be removed and, clearly, that's a warning that isn't a negative thing for you. Insurance will require participation in accordance with the policy but this cost will be less than the entire procedure and follow-up out-of-pocket.

My sister did this. She even had one that was a half size bigger than the other and the surgeon fixed it all up. It went fine.

I didn't lose weight, I just lost fat and gained a small amount of muscle :)
