If anything, we are considered "more" emotional, because we can be very easily emotionally overloaded and can't handle emotions as well. I cry at basically anything and everything, and I will break down over the littlest thing. I get very emotional in any direction, and can also be very passionate about things I care for.
It's like there's two halves to me: my emotions and my logical brain. Even if I "know" that something isn't really a big deal, the emotions I feel will be too overpowering and I can't control my incredibly visceral reactions.
I've been told this is typical of autism/asperger's, and is very common in female aspies especially.
