I'm so sorry to hear you are going through this. I went through the same thing and finally found a doctor that did a D&C procedure on me called Novasure. Basically he burned off the inside lining of my uterus causing the blood vessels to be cauterized. Life has been so much better for me and as time goes on I have gone completely without periods or at most perhaps only a little spotting. There is no chance of getting pregnant after the procedure as the lining of the uterus is too thin for an egg to implant and survive.

I felt exactly like the OP did at her age. And ya know what -- things didn't get better. I never wanted children and never had any. Now I'm 52 and my attitude STILL hasn't changed. Because of fibroids and endometriosis (and anemia from 6 weeks of uncontrollable bleeding) I just had a hysterectomy and wish I had been allowed to have it done 30 years ago.

But another poster is correct -- you probably won't find a doctor who will give you a hysterectomy at such a young age. Birth control pills did me a world of good -- the one I took dropped my period from 7 days to a day and a half of light spotting, with NO cramps or PMS. You also might want to look into the reasons you hate your period so much too -- do some self-analysis. You might find you're using your hate of your reproductive system as a substitute for something else.
