as a teen my mom was always trying to get me to wear make up. she never leaves the house without it and even wears it if shes not going anywhere. shes always checking herself in mirrors and in the car too and disappearing to the bathroom to put more lipstick on.

i just dont see the point. it makes my face uncomfortable and i look good without it(even tho i do have acne problem but mom thinks that its cos i doint wear makeup tht i have acne!)
i especially hate eye make up.... sometimes i woud give in to my mother and accept accept little blusher and lipstick. but having my lashes full of mascara is really uncomfortable!

when i was a kid i love having my face painted though... to be like a tiger or something like that. i still wear face paint because we wear it in my band. i have no problem at all with face paint.

Wow, that's like the total opposite of some moms. I hope your mom wasn't one of those women who thought that you always had to wear makeup in order to look presentable. I'm mean, it's fine to put on make up if you want to but you don't necessarily have to. Women are attractive with make up and with no make up.

My mom isnt so feminine so I dont really feel the pressure to wear makeup (though she has a cosmotology lisence and wears make up fairly ofter herself). A few years ago I use to wear mascara and sparkly eye shaddow, but not foundation or anything because I had really had oily acne ridden skin and my skin needed as much air and medication as possible. Most of the time now I wear nothing at all because my skin has cleared up and it looks fine without make up anyways. Plus I touch my face a lot, like I rub my eyes or rest my cheek on my hand or a million things and the make I wear would be gone by the end of the day anyways. I had a boyfriend once, when my skin was still fairly bad with acne told me that "[I] should wear more make up more often." Maybe it was a compliment like maybe some mascera wouldnt hurt because your eyes are pretty or something, but I took it more as a harsh criticism because that guy was a jerk and even if I could have used a bit more make up, I dont think a guy should ever really say that to a girl. It kind of hurt :?

I wear make-up. I'm not seen in public without eyeshadow and some form of lip balm. I don't need eyeliner, because my lashes are naturally long and dark.

I like it, but I rarely wear it. I do put some on if I go out someplace special. I don't like the oily types because they feel so funny on my face ( i can literally FEEL the oil) plus my complexion is already on the oily side so I must wash it off before I feel too oily. I prefer the makeup that's specially formulated for oily skin types.

I feel really vain for admitting this, but I always put on makeup, even if I'm not going anywhere. Doing my makeup in the mornings is a ritual I have that makes me feel happy. I'm an artist, so I think that's part of why I get enjoyment from putting on makeup. I look fine without makeup, but I enjoy playing with different colors and seeing the dramatic transformation it can have.

It's beyond wonderful! :D

I think one of the reasons I wear makeup isn't to look pretty, but more assertive. I look like an innocent girl next door without makeup, but I find that more people take me seriously when I have it on. It definitely ages me in a good way.

I hate seeing girls put that stuff round their eyes. It looks scary.

I don't wear it very often as it can bother me due to irritating dry eyes and stuff. I will be wearing it pretty regular when I'm back in school this fall as I know it is the norm and expected in a business or formal environment. But otherwise I only wear makeup for special occasions and don't really wear it very often other than that. Usually I try to wear what looks natural though I will wear some eye liner. I wear mascara that tends to go with my hair colour, more natural looking eye shadows and lipsticks though lipstick doesn't seem to stick on me well and also fairly pale blush because I have a fairly light skintone.

It can look scary if it's done wrong. I can't wear pencil or liquid eyeliner because it's too harsh and makes me look like a goth, but it looks softer if I use powder to line my eyes. Trust me, it took years for meto figure out how to wear eyemakeup so that it didn't look scary.

I don't mind it actually when it's been put on. It's when they're actually doing it that I find it scary. I hate seeing people poking around with their eyes. lol 8O

thankfully i don't have to wear a lot of makeup because i usually put it on once or twice a week. even if im working full time, i don't feel the need to put a full face of makeup on everyday. but i have to admit i love makeup and beauty products. i spend a great deal of my disposable income on beauty procedures, not plastic surgery, but manis and pedis and waxing, etc. i read quite a number of books on makup application and it really peaked my interest. i love getting fixed up for the right occasion.
