Personally I don't like using any restroom when other people are present, it doesn't matter if it is for men or women. I have had bad experiences with both men and women in the past and would not feel comfortable with a man in the women's restroom. I would especially not like a trans gender person in the women's restroom because the first thing that pops to my mind are learned instinct's that say someone is a wolf in sheep's clothing. I instantly get dizzy, confused and have a panic attack. I often use family or disabled restrooms if they are available.

In my humble opinion I think there should be restroom's available to individually serve men, women, family/disabled and those who may identify in any other way. I think this should be done to minimize any fear or bad feeling's on everyone's part. All people should be able to GO where they feel they are safe.

Even with very little evidence from the picture, I can tell you have breasts, that's a clear sign of femininity right there. Also, I don't know if most people do this or it's just me, when I see someone in the womens' bathroom, I assume they're female regardless of their appearance.

Okay, joking aside, I get that but if, say, the men's toilets are out of use for whatever reason and there isn't a disabled toilet (at my work, the disabled toilets had to replace the gent's when they got bust) then you have to share.

I've never been anywhere that had men and women sharing a multi person restroom.

You've obviously never seen Ally McBeal, ridiculous show but hilarious. They have a unisex bathroom and half the jokes per episode occur in there.

A huge part of using the bathroom of your proper gender and passing in general is about being confident, just acting like you belong there and not being afraid. Easier said than done, but after time, it's just natural.

I don't see why the person in the photo shouldn't be in a women's restroom.
I have troubles telling people's gender, unless it's very obvious like women with long hair and lots of make-up/big boobs/wearing "feminine" clothes or men with short hair/a beard/little facial hair/muscles and therefore I don't think about people's gender often. I myself have been mistaken for a feminine guy (I have long hair and look pretty feminine, but I don't use make-up, I wear baggy clothes that are not feminine and I have very small boobs) usually when wearing a hat or when I had short hair.

I figured it out quite fast both by your Avatar and then looking at your picture

now looking at the comments I am a little bothered.

SHE is fine coming in any restroom with me, and I am against co-ed restrooms. I have been raped and I don't want to share space with men.

dress properly and do your hair like you have - the glasses work and I won't care.

I don't believe anyone forgot her gender, actually. I was merely saying that she should go ahead and use the women's bathroom even if other women are "uncomfortable" around her. I don't think she needs our approval to take a dump or take a leak. I think gendered toilets are rather pointless and I have never had a problem using the gents or guys using the women's toilets. That's just my view.

I don't know if separate toilets would actually reduce an instance of rape, but I do see that using the bathroom in a public area might feel like you are being exposed and vulnerable to an extent. So in that respect, I know what you mean.

Personal story, though; the worst bathroom experience I have had was being at school and using a toilet cubicle to change in because I didn't want to change in front of the other girls (this was at PE). It wasn't the only cubicle and they could have used the other toilets, but they decided it was fitting to try and kick down my door and try to expose me. Every so often, a head or two would pop over the cubicle doors to peer on my body. That was humiliating and it happened every week. Worst of all, I was blamed for it because I was "taking too long" ( when I would have don't it faster if they left me alone). To this day, I'm still a little paranoid of people looking in the cubicle. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I think everyone should respect the privacy of others regardless of gender or sex.

I wouldn't mind at all. Maybe styling your hair into something girlish such as pigtails might help. I think pigtails would suit you, actually. :)

I don't pay any much attention to who else is in the loo (restroom, for you guys in the US).

Loo issues aside, you look nice. Your gender's unimportant to me.
