I forgot to add (too late to edit my post above):
I also have a lower than normal voice. People have commented on it all my life, even as a child.

I'm having female pain and one cause could be polycystic ovary syndrome. I really hope not because that might mean hormones and I'd really prefer not to have my hormones messed around with, especially if they aren't typical NT female hormones. Argh.

Well ... if your hormones are off-balance now, supplementing would be restoring them to a closer-to-normal state. What we think of now as "normal" hormones are very abnormal from an evolutionary standpoint. All of this ovulation and menstruation so many times a year over so many decades is stress women's bodies didn't experience when we were maturing later, breastfeeding longer, having more offspring, dying in childbirth etc.

In case you do go with hormonal treatment:
Titration generally takes a few rounds, and you might well have horrid reactions to the first dosage/mix prescribed. Doctors can seem deaf, b/c they're not the ones taking the stuff, so be very vocal. When they get it right, you should in fact notice improvements in areas you didn't expect (mood etc). Most of the side effects are just from doctors quitting before finding the appropriate Rx for the client, NOT from hormones per se. Don't let them do that to you.

I'm decidedly not curvy, but that's because I'm Asian and was raised on a traditional diet / am a vegetarian too. I don't have a "male brain", and such characterizations are sexist.
